Paula Begoun is known as "the cosmetics cop"who got fired in 1975 from a cosmetics counter for telling people the truth about beauty products. She published her best selling book "Blue eyeshadow should be illegal" and appeared on Oprah. Since then, she invented her own line of effective products. She was instrumental in cutting through false marketing claims and helping women choose products that actually had active ingredients with a purpose.
Hyaluronic acid and Panthenol (vitamin B5) have moisturizing properties that are beneficial for the skin [1-4]. Skin acne is linked to the depletion of ceramides and research shows that ceramide-containing products improve skin health [5].

Panthenol (vitamin B5) promotes wound healing, targets acne, and helps the body combat acne-related skin issues [1]. Panthenol and sodium hyaluronate also hydrate the skin and help it retain moisture [2-4]. Sodium Hyaluronate, which is a salt that is derived from hyaluronic acid, is more easily absorbed into the skin than hyaluronic acid [4]. Furthermore, ceramide-containing moisturizers have been shown to reduce skin dryness and irritation, thereby targeting skin barrier dysfunction and enhancing moisture retention in the skin [5].
